Big cakes are gone, national defense is gone, and bandits are sharpening their swords!
Is Syria really hopeless?
The world is always wonderful. Three days ago, the Syrian people who welcomed the Sham Liberation organization (HTS) began to reminisce about the ousted former president Bashar al Assad.
As the former Syrian government fell, Syrians were shocked to find that Israeli airstrikes were escalating, destroying billions of dollars worth of weapons and equipment within a few days, cutting off water and electricity became the norm, and even basic food security was lost.

Assad has truly been 'liberated' now
Faced with HTS's unstoppable attack, Assad hardly resisted and fled to Russia with his family.
At that time, the public opinion generally had a bad evaluation of Assad, with constant ridicule such as "having hundreds of thousands of troops but not effectively resisting" and "the last time so many troops ran so fast was in Dunkirk".
But as new news continues to emerge, it has been discovered that Assad's oil export revenue has sharply declined, agricultural areas have suffered significant losses, and even his most dependent allies are sucking blood, attempting to seek help from foreign powers but being blocked. With ambitious individuals around him, it is really good that he can persist until 2024.
In fact, Assad's speech after arriving in Russia was also very sincere: "I am not a dictator, nor do I have the ability to rule. Syria has a large number of regional forces, who collude with foreign countries and have stolen a lot of Syrian resources. Now they do not have the ability to continue leading Syria, choose to withdraw, whoever has the ability will take over
picture
The Israeli army operating in southern Syria
After several days of chaos in Syria, the situation is basically clear: the backing of the Syrian Democratic Army (SDF) in the east is the United States;
The Syrian National Army (SNA) in the north is supported by Türkiye;
Israel is advancing steadily in the south and is currently approaching Damascus;
The HTS, which overthrew the Syrian government and controlled the western and central regions, was ambiguous with Türkiye and Israel.
These forces have all come to an end, and their relationship with each other is very complex. simply put, they are constantly fighting, and the battlefield involves various fields from Syrian land to the "transitional government".
These smart people who are busy "continuing to grab territory" and "grabbing a good position in the transitional government" have no time to pay attention to the equipment left by the former government army, sensitive areas bordering Israel, and will not allocate large resources to maintain the original government's food subsidy policy.
So the Syrians lost their 'cheap cake' and the country had no future.
picture
The Syrian government has repeatedly declared that 'Syria is a free country'
In modern Chinese history, there have also been times when "various regions were invaded and colonized by foreign powers". In 1898, Xie Shengtai drew the "Complete Map of the current Situation", which named Russia's occupation of Northeast China, Britain's invasion of the Yangtze River, Germany's occupation of the Shandong Peninsula, France's invasion of the Indochina Peninsula, Japan's invasion of Fujian, and the United States' coveting of the situation at sea. In fact, it was not until 1949, 50 years later, that the situation finally came to an end.
The current situation in Syria is very similar to China 100 years ago.
In the end, China was reborn from the ashes with the determination to burn its bridges and face an unbearable cost.
The Syrian people may have determination in the future, and they can do it at any cost, but external conditions are indeed too difficult.

The essence of this world seems to have never changed
When the original Syrian government was overthrown and a new transitional government was still being formed, Israel occupied large areas of southern Syria and launched indiscriminate bombings on Syrian soil.
The entire Western world has turned a blind eye to this, and the words "aggression" and "violation of airspace and sovereignty" have not appeared in mainstream reports in Europe and America even until now. Even news about Israel's military actions is rare, which is completely different from the treatment after Russia sent troops to Ukraine in February 2022.
Although we have long known that the so-called "international fairness" does not exist and deeply realize that strength is the most important asset in international conflicts, when this scene is displayed in front of us, it still makes us feel cold all over.
After destroying all the equipment of the former Syrian government army, Israel expressed its "hope to establish contact with the Syrian transitional government", while Britain and the United States also expressed their "consideration of removing HTS from terrorist organizations". Essentially, this is the first step towards increasing pressure and preparing for entry benefits.
picture
Israel is currently the biggest winner, but other forces cannot help but face the consequences
In this situation, HTS began to clean up Syrian scientists, engineers, and even pilots, resulting in over 600 deaths in just the past two days, including several well-known scientists.
At this point, there is no room for Syria to turn back. To borrow a classic Soviet joke, Syria was already standing on the edge of a cliff, but now with the efforts of all parties, it has finally taken a big step forward.
