12月15日，埃文·凯尔通过个人账号发文回应网传的“他被前助理背刺、200多万粉丝的账号被前助理控制、直播打赏等收入被前助理独吞”等传闻，引起热议。
埃文在文中表示，他近期一直在旅途当中，没有及时看到网上的评论，近日网上出现了一些不实言论，对他和他人都造成了极大的困扰。

然而，12月12日，一个名称为“埃文凯尔（本人）”的账号却突然更新了埃文在上海和南京的行程内容，而那个200多万粉丝的账号则从9号开始就停更了。
一开始大家还以为“埃文凯尔（本人）”这个账号是假冒的，可没想到，后来埃文直接出镜介绍，称这是他的个人账号，希望大家关注。
众人这才相信“埃文凯尔（本人）”这个账号真的是埃文的，粉丝们在关注的同时也好奇，他为什么不在原来的账号上更新内容了？紧接着网上传言，称埃文被前助理给坑骗了，他原来的账号和相关打赏收入都被前助理运营团队给占有了。
