新疆青少年“相遇”飞虎队：以史为鉴 赓续情谊

在乌鲁木齐文化中心展览馆内，13岁的麦尔孜亚木·吐尔逊买买提在一幅讲述飞虎队与驼峰航线的照片前驻足许久。“我对飞行员们坚韧的品格印象深刻。我想更详细地学习那段历史，理解它的意义。”

　　由美中航空遗产基金会、新疆维吾尔自治区人民政府外事办公室、新疆国际博览事务局共同举办的《铭记英雄——飞虎队主题历史图片展巡展(新疆)》，11月30日在乌鲁木齐市开展，来自新疆多所学校的数十名学生观展。

　　图片展分4部分、15个单元，通过312张珍贵历史照片和6件文物，展示飞虎队建立过程，以及中美军民在反法西斯战争中不畏牺牲、共同战斗的历史片段。

　　二战期间，美国陈纳德将军组建“中国空军美国志愿援华航空队”(飞虎队)。“飞虎队的成员们跨越国界、文化差异，为了共同的目标抗击法西斯侵略而紧密团结在一起，这种情谊感人至深。”新疆艺术学院学生康岩赫说。

　　当日，美中航空遗产基金会副主席克利福德·雷·郎二世在一张照片前几度哽咽，照片记录了他父亲作为飞虎队第14航空队P40战斗机飞行员的执飞场景。“父亲来中国时不满20岁，帮助中国抗击侵略者期间执行了140次任务，其中2次被击落。每每想到此，我的情绪都难以平静。”

　　援华作战期间，2000多名美籍飞虎队队员在战斗中牺牲，200多名遇险队员被中国民众营救，许多中国人在营救过程中献出了生命。

　　“中美两国军民不畏苦难，追求正义与和平。作为青年人，我有义务传递这种精神。”康岩赫说。

　　“飞虎队的故事、精神是美中两国共同的宝贵财富。期待两国更多年轻人了解故事、传承精神，其中当然包括中国新疆的青少年。”美中航空遗产基金会主席格林说。

　　“我会通过学习这段历史，拓宽视野。”新疆大学政治与公共管理学院学生迪丽亚·吐尔逊爱力说，得知《铭记英雄——飞虎队主题历史图片展巡展(新疆)》将在新疆大学长期展陈，她希望从中汲取知识，并传递给身边朋友。

　　在新疆大学外国语学院学生丁度楷看来，飞虎队精神和情谊是历史之基，能铺就未来之路。“我希望有机会与美国学生交流，给他们讲述中国新疆的美好故事，与他们建立友谊，以青春之力共同续写‘飞虎情谊’。”(完)

Co-organized by the US-China Aviation Heritage Foundation, the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and the Xinjiang International Expo Bureau, the "Remembering Heroes - Flying Tigers Themed historical Photo Exhibition Tour (Xinjiang)" was held in Urumqi on November 30. Dozens of students from many schools in Xinjiang attended the exhibition.

The photo exhibition is divided into 4 parts and 15 units. Through 312 precious historical photos and 6 cultural relics, it shows the establishment process of the Flying Tigers, as well as the historical clips of the Chinese and American soldiers and civilians fighting together in the anti-fascist war without fear of sacrifice.

During World War II, the United States general Chennault formed the "Chinese Air force of the United States volunteer Chinese Air Force" (Flying Tigers). "The members of the Flying Tigers cross national borders and cultural differences, and unite closely for a common goal against fascist aggression. This kind of friendship is deeply touching." Xinjiang Arts University student Kang Yanhe said.

Clifford Ray Lang II, vice president of the U.S.-China Aviation Heritage Foundation, choked up several times over a photo documenting his father's service as a P40 fighter pilot with the Flying Tigers 14th Air Force. "My father was less than 20 years old when he came to China and flew 140 missions while helping China fight the invaders, two of which were shot down. Every time I think about it, it's hard to calm my emotions."

During the operation, more than 2,000 American Flying Tigers died in battle, and more than 200 were rescued by the Chinese people, many of whom gave their lives in the rescue process.

"The military and people of China and the United States are not afraid of suffering and pursue justice and peace. As a young man, it is my duty to pass on this spirit." Kang Yanhyuk said.

"The story and spirit of the Flying Tigers are valuable assets shared by the United States and China. I hope more young people in the two countries can learn about the story and pass on the spirit, including teenagers in Xinjiang, China." "I will broaden my horizons by studying this history." Delia Tursun Aili, a student at the School of Politics and Public Administration of Xinjiang University, said that she learned that "Remembering Heroes - Flying Tigers Theme Historical Photo Exhibition Tour (Xinjiang)" will be exhibited in Xinjiang University for a long time, and she hopes to learn knowledge from it and pass it on to friends around her.

In the view of Ding Dukai, a student at Xinjiang University's School of Foreign Languages, the spirit and friendship of the Flying Tigers are the foundation of history and can pave the way for the future. "I hope to have the opportunity to communicate with American students, tell them the beautiful story of Xinjiang, build friendship with them, and continue to write the 'Flying tiger friendship' with the strength of youth."
