originating、stopping、stem
1.stemming（现在分词，原形 stem，多义）： - 义 1 “起源于”（搭配 from，如 “problems stemming from poverty” 源于贫困的问题）； - 义 2“阻止；遏制”（搭配 off，如 “stemming off losses” 遏制损失”）；
2. originating（现在分词）：“起源于”（如 “custom originating in ancient times” 起源于古代的习俗），仅对应 stem 的 “起源” 义，stem 还可表 “阻止”；
3. stopping（现在分词）：“停止”（如 “stopping the flow of water” 阻止水流），比 stem 的 “遏制” 更侧重 “完全停止”，stem 是 “减缓 / 控制”。
