【词根来源】：“运输,携带;港口”的意义来源于原始印欧语por-(离去,通过)在拉丁语中派生的名词portus(港口)和动词porto, portare, portavi, portatus(运输,携带);“门”的意义来源于拉丁语名词porta, portae, f(门,入口)。
词根able：可……的。形容词后缀。
所以portable就是可携带的。
