identify、recognize、distinguish、know
1. identify：“识别 / 确认”（如 identify a suspect；identify the problem；identify with sb.）；
2. recognize：“认出 / 认可”（曾认识，如 recognize an old friend；recognize achievements）；
3. distinguish：“区分 / 辨别”（如 distinguish between A and B；distinguish right from wrong）；

单词用法
identify的基本意思是“认同”，即认为某事物等同于另一事物，这种同一性可以是真实的，也可以是想象的，也可以表示思想上的混乱或自我欺骗。引申可表示“同情”“支持”。identify既可用作不及物动词，也可用作及物动词。用作及物动词时，接名词或代词作宾语，也可接以“as+n.”作补足语的复合宾语；用作不及物动词时常与with连用表示“同情…”。identify可用于被动结构。
