易混词辨析
hole、trench、canal、ditch
1.hole（洞，通用）：表 “小而浅的坑”（如 a hole in the ground），ditch 特指 “路边 / 田间的排水沟；壕沟”（如 a roadside ditch 排水沟），有 “排水 / 分界” 功能；
2. trench（战壕 / 深沟）：表 “深且长的沟”（如 a military trench 战壕），比 ditch 深，且多用于军事 / 工程，ditch 多用于农业 / 道路；
