How to manufacture next-generation AI chips that combine high computing power and energy efficiency has become a cutting-edge international hotspot@ The research team at Tsinghua University pioneered the distributed breadth intelligent optical computing architecture and developed the world's first large-scale interferometric diffraction heterogeneous integrated chip, Taichi, achieving a universal intelligent computing of 160 TOPS/W.
In the process of developing the "Tai Chi" optical chip architecture, inspiration came from the classic book "Book of Changes". The team members, inspired by the concept of "Tai Chi in Yi, it is the two instruments of life", established a new computing model, achieving the release of the powerful performance of optical computing.
