长期以来,国际上未有钙钛矿单晶晶片的通用制备方法,传统方法仅能以满足高温环境、生长速率慢的方式制备几种毫米级单晶,极大限制了单晶晶片的实际应用。
对于钙钛矿单晶晶片生长所涉及的成核、溶解、传质、反应等多个过程,华东理工大学团队结合多重实验论证和理论模拟,揭示了传质过程是决定晶体生长速率的关键因素,由此研发了以二甲氧基乙醇为代表的生长体系,通过多配位基团精细调控胶束的动力学过程,使溶质的扩散系数提高了3倍。在高溶质通量系统中,研究人员实现了将晶体生长环境温度降低60摄氏度,晶体生长速率提高4倍,生长周期由7天缩短至1.5天。
该成果主要完成人之一、华东理工大学教授侯宇说,“我们突破了传统生长体系中溶质扩散不足的技术壁垒,提供了一条更普适、更高效、更低条件的单晶晶片生长路线。”

For a long time, there has been no universal preparation method for perovskite single crystal wafers internationally. traditional methods can only prepare several millimeter sized single crystals in a way that meets high temperature environments and slow growth rates, greatly limiting the practical application of single crystal wafers.
The team from East China University of Science and Technology combined multiple experimental demonstrations and theoretical simulations to reveal that mass transfer is a key factor determining the growth rate of perovskite single crystal wafers, involving multiple processes such as nucleation, dissolution, mass transfer, and reaction. As a result, a growth system represented by dimethoxyethanol was developed, and the kinetic process of micelles was finely controlled by multiple coordination groups, resulting in a three fold increase in the diffusion coefficient of solutes. In a high solute flux system, researchers achieved a reduction of 60 degrees Celsius in the crystal growth environment temperature, a 4-fold increase in crystal growth rate, and a shortened growth cycle from 7 days to 1.5 days.
One of the main authors of this achievement, professor Hou Yu from East China University of Science and Technology, said, "We have broken through the technical barriers of insufficient solute diffusion in traditional growth systems and provided a more universal, efficient, and lower condition single crystal wafer growth route."
